Forgiveness is a tender seed,
Planted deep where wounds still bleed,
In the soil of hearts once torn,
Where pride and anger once were born.
It does not ask for easy peace,
Nor does it beg for pain’s release,
But whispers softly, clear and true,
That healing lies in letting through.
To those who’ve wronged, we open wide,
The door to grace they’re free to stride,
And in that gift, a light will gleam,
A chance for hearts to start to dream.
For in forgiveness, burdens fall,
And love becomes the greatest call.
To hold no grudge, to mend, to heal,
Is to remember what is real.
