There once was a number named Pi,
Whose digits went on and on, oh my!
It said, “I’m irrational, true,”
And danced with a square root or two.
The fractions were always in strife,
Fighting over who’d rule the life.
Half said, “I’m more than a quarter!”
And “No, I’m not,” said the numerator’s daughter.
In Algebra’s land, x was quite sly,
He’d vanish and reappear, oh my!
Equations were puzzled, their patience thin,
Trying to find where x had been.
The addition signs threw a grand ball,
Inviting all numbers, big and small.
But subtraction showed up, quite a bother,
Turning all the smiles into a lather.
Yet amidst all the chaos and glee,
Math proved to be fun, as you see.
For even in numbers, big and small,
There’s a humour that fits us all!
